I think that Vegas guy is lying to you. You can find stats to say anything you want....so the numbers he talks about are true....but irrelevant. He is making excuses for basically saying, "Viking fans would never bet as the favorites over the Cowboys". Viking fans don't have that kind of faith in their team. They need points.

Vegas needs people to bet...more than they need to "almost accurately" predict the spread of the final score. They could care less who wins or loses.....they care a lot about the juice.

Cowboy fans are arrogant and have a lot of faith in their team. They will still bet them as the road-favs....Viking fans might now bite....because they can now take the Vikes and a few points. Being the doubting Thomas's they are..........[biblical reference there...].

America's betters [non-fans of Vikes or Cowboys]......think the Cowboys are better........as well.

Again....it's all about the juice and making the spread enticing.....

the guy I talked to is a Minnesota native and one of the top gambling experts in the world, he is not lying to me. Also I tried to find any evidence that Dallas consistently pushes the line one way or the other and I couldn't.

I kind of think you invalidated your rant by the last sentence here

>America's betters [non-fans of Vikes or Cowboys]......think the Cowboys are better........as well.

Yep, most people think the Cowboys are a bit better than the Vikings (especially with CB2 and CB3 dwon) and the Vegas guy put into words what/why the public believes that.

To me (and not a gambling expert) this is about a 50-50 game.. props to the Vikings if we win and no shock if we lose. But it certainly would not be as surprising as beating the Bills in their home.
