Out of the box thought .. but when I think about it.. it could have a Moss like effect and vault the Vikings into true contention. If NYG trades up to 4 to grab JJ (Arizona chooses them because they don’t want to be all the way to 11 and we can’t or won’t sweeten the deal) could we move up to 5 and grab Marvin Harrison. We send #11 and our 2025 first. Then at #23 we take Penix Jr. giving the Vikings potentially the best skill position group in the NFL and one of the best ever assembled. If Penix is even just decent (or Darnold) it could be an unstoppable offense. (Bookend tackles, unparalleled skill positions, big armed QB who can challenge the entire field, and a fantastic and imaginative OC/HC) with 100M in cap room in 2025 you can pay JJ/Darisaw and restock the defense… the more I consider this possibility the more I like it
I would have loved to see his career if he’d gone to a team to that had him be eg (a healthier) Shawne Merriman. It’s not his fault he was used in a role that didn’t get to make splash plays, or that he was paid what he was paid. It was a nice career.
